Conversion Rate (CVR)

The share of visitors who complete a purchase.

Conversion rate is the percentage of store visitors who complete an order — orders divided by sessions. It is the highest-leverage number on most stores: because you pay for traffic once, converting more of it turns existing spend into revenue. Typical e-commerce conversion rates sit between 1% and 3%, but the benchmark that matters is your own baseline. Slow load times, weak product pages, and checkout friction are the usual culprits when it is low. See what a lift is worth with the conversion rate calculator, or start with a free store audit.
