Replatforming (Migration)

Moving a store from one platform to another.

Replatforming — or migration — is moving a store from one e-commerce platform to another, most often from WooCommerce, Magento, Wix, or BigCommerce to Shopify. Done properly it preserves products, customers, order history, and, critically, SEO. The single biggest risk is losing search rankings, which a complete URL-level 301 redirect map prevents.
