How to Integrate Kashier with Shopify (Egypt)

Kashier is the gateway we reach for when a newer Egyptian store wants to be taking cards quickly. Here is how to connect it to Shopify and use its payment links for selling off-store.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Kashier is an Egyptian gateway with relatively light onboarding, cards, wallets, instalments, and a genuinely useful payment-links feature for selling over Instagram and WhatsApp before a full store exists. For a smaller or newer merchant that wants to start accepting money without a heavy approval cycle, it is often the pragmatic first gateway. The rest of the payment landscape is mapped in our Egypt & Saudi payment methods guide.

Before you start

  • A Kashier merchant account
  • Business documents
  • A Shopify store

Step by step

The same sequence we follow on client stores. Do them in order — several of the later steps depend on decisions made in the earlier ones.

  1. Open and verify the Kashier account

Onboarding is lighter than some gateways, but still needs business verification. Start it before launch week so approval is not on the critical path.

  2. Connect Kashier to Shopify

Add Kashier to Shopify checkout and authenticate with your merchant credentials. Push a test transaction before switching real orders over.

  3. Enable cards, wallets and instalments

Turn on the methods your customers use. If you want to offer instalments, confirm which providers Kashier exposes and how the fee is shared — model it against your margin with the Shopify profit calculator.

  4. Use payment links for social selling

Kashier payment links let you collect money over Instagram, WhatsApp or a DM without sending the customer through the full store. It is the feature that makes Kashier useful before, and alongside, checkout.

  5. Test the full set of paths

Run a success, a decline, a cancellation and a refund, and confirm each lands in Shopify with the right status. Test a payment link separately.

  6. Set up reconciliation

Agree how Kashier settlement and fees map to Shopify orders before volume builds, so month-end is a check, not an investigation.

What we do differently

The three things that separate a working setup from a default one — drawn from the stores we ship, not from the documentation.

Start onboarding early anyway

Lighter than most is not instant — keep approval off the critical path.

Payment links are the hidden feature

They let you sell over social the day you sign up, before checkout is even styled.

Model instalment fees

Only offer instalments where the fee earns its keep — run it through the profit calculator.

Would rather we just did it?

We set this up on every store we build, and we do it as standalone work too. Start with a free audit — we will tell you what is worth changing before you spend anything.

Frequently Asked
Questions

What clients ask us about this integration before we set it up.

Is Kashier good for a small or new store?

Yes — its lighter onboarding and payment links make it a practical first gateway for a newer Egyptian merchant who wants to start accepting cards and selling over social quickly.

Can Kashier do instalments?

Kashier exposes card and instalment options; confirm the current providers and fee split during setup, and only enable instalments where the economics work for your average order value.

What are payment links for?

They let you collect a payment over Instagram, WhatsApp or a message without the customer going through your full store — useful for social selling and one-off invoices.
